How to make Rice Water?

I am going to give three simple ways by which you can make Rice Water and use it for your hair and skin. The type of rice you are gonna use doesn’t matter but it is said if you use one-year-old rice or red rice it will show better results.

Boiling

Wash your rice and rinse it one time then take rice and water in a ratio of 1:3. Now boil the rice for 10-15min and keep stirring occasionally while boiling, then take it off the heat.

Now rinse the rice with the help of a sieve or a cotton cloth, store the Rice Water in the refrigerator and use it whenever you need by diluting.

If you don’t have the option to boil the rice then you can use this method also.

Here you have to wash your rice and rinse it one time then take rice and water in a ratio of 1:3. Now soak it for at least 30 minutes then rinse the rice with the help of a sieve or a cotton cloth. Now store it in the refrigerator and use it after diluting.

If you want to make fermented rice water then follow the same procedure as 2nd method (soaking) instead of refrigerating leave the rice water in a container at room temperature for a few days so that it can ferment. After that refrigerate it and use it accordingly.

Rice Water for skin

According to research, Fermented Rice Water can protect your skin from sunlight damage since it has natural sunscreen properties. It also boosts collagen levels of the skin which helps in promoting suppleness and minimizes wrinkles.

Fermented rice also helps in anti-ageing due to its antioxidant properties studied in another research.

Few people get skin irritation from sodium laurel sulfate which is a primary ingredient of many skin care products, Rice Water gives relief in such cases.

Using sunscreens containing rice water extracts may help improve protection from sun rays.

As Shampoo

Mix fermented rice water and liquid castile soap,  for fragrance you can add aloe vera or chamomile tea or essential oil.

For hair rinsing

Mix rice water with a little essential hair oil for fragrance then apply it to your hair properly and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes after that you can rinse it.
